A bit of optimism about the future of Diablo 4

I’ve seen a lot of criticism and negativity about the game and while I agree with most of that, I wanted to put it into perspective a bit.

Whether you like the system or not, Diablo IV is a direct service game, which means it should receive regular content updates. The free parts like the new ones, as well as the paid expansions that we already know there will be at least 2. So what’s important right now is a solid base and I think a lot of people will agree. Notice that the facility is excellent. The game runs well, looks great, the gameplay is nice, the system in place is generally good, the open world approach with some MMO elements works better than I expected. There’s nothing fundamentally wrong with the game in my opinion and that’s the most important thing.

Most of the complaints relate to complexity, balance, and content. These are the easiest to fix, and since Diablo is one of Blizzard’s most important franchises right now, I don’t think it’ll be discontinued anytime soon. It’s clear that a lot of effort has gone into this game and the sales will be staggering.

I hope we get some much needed balance improvements in Season 1, and I’m sure things like the slightly lightweight talent tree will be expanded soon as well. I just want it out. While I’m also not very happy with a lot of things, the base is very promising and Diablo games have traditionally improved with expansions.

While I have my own criticisms and hopes for how the game can scale without the buffs, my second most important thing after the excellent tone in this volume, the most important is dark lord, let the developers stick to their vision and not give in to all the laments.

Whether Activision is a good fit for Blizzard, the Diablo 4 developers have left their mark.

In the previous installment of Diablo 3, I had 3 heavy characters up to level 70. Father!

In Diablo 4 so far, I’ve lost 4 hits. I continue to respect those characters that I have been told “there is only one possible version”. All this after easily reaching level 25 hc in free access – shows quite intuitively that the developers have made some tweaks to sink us deeper.

I have a lot of thoughts about this game, because I play the game a lot and think about it. But I will continue to hope that the developers will not succumb to the pressure of the crowd and continue to unleash their crazy creative vision on us. As a sage chained east of Yelesna once said, “No more! MORE!”
